What is Equibolan?

Equibolan is a revolutionary new bodybuilding supplement containing 1,4 androstadienedione, an orally effective steroidal precursor to the potent anabolic agent boldenone. Boldenone is the active constituent in such veterinary steroids as Equipoise®, Ultragan, Maxigan and Equi-gan.

What is boldenone?

Boldenone is an anabolic steroid structurally similar to testosterone. It notably differs from testosterone in action however, such that the rate of aromatization (estrogen conversion) is roughly cut in half with boldenone. It is likewise much less apt to produce such side effects as gynecomastia (female breast tissue development), increased fat deposition and water retention. It also does not actively convert to a more androgenic substance in tissues where dihydrotestosterone is formed from testosterone, and therefore exhibits a weaker tendency to produce related side effects such as oily skin, aggravated hair loss or body/facial hair growth.

What are the benefits of boldenone?

Boldenone is a potent anabolic steroid, and as such works exceptionally well at promoting muscle tissue growth. Due to its low rate of estrogen conversion however, this is usually not accompanied by notable accumulations of body fat or water retention (typically associated with estrogen levels). It is therefore characterized as a steroid more for the enhancement of lean muscularity than raw bulk. For this reason veterinary steroid preparations containing boldenone have always been in very high demand amongst bodybuilders.

How well does it work when taken orally?

All natural steroid hormones are subject to rapid and extensive metabolism to inactive form when taken orally. This is a considerable problem when wishing to take such substances in a tablet or capsule, and the reason behind the development of a number of the synthetic alterations we see on pharmaceutical steroid hormones. The compound in Equibolan however contains a natural alteration (a double bond between carbons 1 and 2) that acts to slow a major path of oral steroid metabolism. Although still actively metabolized, much more steroid (as much as 10% or more of the given dose) makes it through to the blood steam in active form. This figure is notably higher than that expected with testosterone, nandrolone or its precursor hormones, which are more poorly absorbed orally. For this reason an effective dosage for Equibolan begins in the range of only two or three 50mg capsules daily.

What about Side effects?

This product is a precursor to an active anabolic steroid hormone. It is likewise capable of producing steroid related side effects when administered. This includes oily skin, acne, body/facial hair growth, mood changes, unfavorable alterations in cholesterol levels, gynecomastia, high blood pressure and aggravated hair loss. Women should be especially cautious with the use of male steroid hormones, as they can potentially cause virilizing or masculinizing side effects.
