The biggest guy at my gym stopped competing about two years ago and double his daily protein intake to 400 grams. He was huge before but now he is inhuman. He must be 320 pounds at 5-9. I asked if he was going to compete again and he said not until he stops making continuous off-season progress. This makes me wonder how big some of the pros would be if they stopped aiming for super-ripped condition and focussed more on size.
