Testosterone and Bodybuilding

Posted by Mike

What Is Testosterone?

Testosterone is the male hormone that is secreted by the testes. The effects of testosterone in the male body include body hair growth, deeper voice, larger muscles, increased sexual desire, competitive behaviour, etc. Testosterone's function is to build muscles and masculinize, it increases the body's ability to use dietary protein to make more muscle tissue. Testosterone is anabolic in that helps build muscles and lower body fat levels.

Testosterone Supplement for Bodybuilding

Testosterone bodybuilding supplements can be useful as part of a high intensity bodybuilding workout program and high protein diet. Many bodybuilders use testosterone supplements because they feel it helps them train harder and longer thereby increasing their muscle strength and encouraging new muscle growth. Testosterone supplements can help maintain a healthy lifestyle and stimulate protein synthesis which accounts for muscle growth. Testosterone supplementation is also useful for men over the age of 30, as testosterone levels decline as we get older. Go to Anabolic Testosterone Supplement
