I Go/You Go
This is the method for increasing your training intensity and shocking
your muscles with the help of your training partner. Professional
bodybuilders often used this technique when doing barbelll curls.
You do a
set and
immediately
hand the bar to your partner. He would do his set and hand it back
to you. Back and forth both of you would go, not really keeping
track of reps
but always conscious of equaling or bettering each other's reps
in each set. The concentration and intensity we got training
this
way was fantastic, primarily because of the limited amount of rest
time involved.
The I Go/You Go Method is more useful for training smaller muscles
like the biceps or calves than it is for the big thigh and back
muslces. Exercises like squats and bent-over rows demand so much
energy that you run out of steam in a hurry even
without this intensive kind of training.
